Rubber‑sheathed cables are widely used in various electrical appliances, such as household appliances, electric machinery, and mobile power cords for electrical equipment, and can be employed both indoors and outdoors. Depending on the mechanical stresses they endure, these cables are classified into three types—light‑duty, medium‑duty, and heavy‑duty—and are available in a range of cross‑sectional sizes to suit different applications. Typically, light‑duty rubber‑sheathed cables are used in household appliances and small electric devices, where flexibility, lightweight construction, and excellent bendability are required.
