BTTZ cable In China, these cables are referred to as fire‑resistant cables. In recent years, the company has invested in a dedicated production line capable of manufacturing magnesium oxide cables (BTTZ) with lengths of up to 1,000 meters per reel—far exceeding the traditional limit of 50–100 meters per cable. This innovation effectively addresses the numerous drawbacks associated with short cable lengths and frequent splices, significantly reducing project investment costs, accelerating installation, and ensuring reliable, stable performance.
BTTZ Cable Description:
BTTZ is a heavy‑duty fire‑resistant cable with a copper conductor and a copper sheath, featuring magnesium oxide insulation (also known as heavy‑duty mineral insulated cable). It is a novel type of cable that employs a seamless copper tube as its outer sheath, with magnesium oxide powder filling the core as the insulating material, and a solid copper strand as the conductor.

1. The full name of BTTZ cable is Heavy-Duty Copper-Conductor, Copper-Sheathed Magnesium-Oxide Mineral-Insulated Cable.
2. Mineral-insulated cables with a cross-sectional area of 25 mm² or greater are all single-core.
3. Specifications: 1×6~1×400mm² | 2×1.0~2×25mm² | 3×1.0~3×25mm² | 4×1.0~4×25mm²
BTTZ cable characteristics:
It features high-temperature resistance, fire‑proofing, explosion‑proofing, and non‑combustibility (capable of continuous long‑term operation at 250°C and short‑term operation for 30 minutes even under extreme conditions of 1,000°C), along with large current‑carrying capacity, a small outer diameter, high mechanical strength, and an extended service life; moreover, it typically does not require a separate grounding conductor.
BTTZ Cable Applications:
It is widely used in high-rise buildings, nuclear power plants, metallurgical facilities, chemical plants, mines, kilns, and other hazardous, harsh, and high-temperature environments. In recent years, it has also been increasingly deployed in high-rise buildings, airports, ports, subways, and similar venues to ensure the uninterrupted operation of fire‑fighting pumps, fire‑fighting elevators, local lighting, emergency evacuation signage, security surveillance systems, smoke control and exhaust systems, as well as standby power supplies and other critical fire‑protection equipment.
