High-voltage power cable
Description
- Product Description
-
Power cables are used for transmitting and distributing electrical energy. They are commonly employed in urban underground power grids, outgoing lines from power plants, and internal power supply systems of industrial and mining enterprises. As cable products designed to transmit and distribute high‑power electricity along the main transmission lines of power systems, power cables encompass a wide range of voltage levels—from 1 kV up to 500 kV and above—along with various insulation types.
I. Product Name/Operating Voltage
(0.6/1 kV): Cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cable
Main raw materials: copper and aluminum conductors, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, PVC jacket.
II. Product Implementation Standards
The cable design complies with the requirements of the national standard GB/T 12706-2008 and the International Electrotechnical Commission’s recommended standard IEC 60502.
III. Product Applications
The normal operating temperature of the conductor in cross‑linked polyethylene insulated cables is 90°C. Cross‑linked polyethylene cables not only exhibit excellent electrical performance, with high operating temperatures and large transmission capacities, but also offer advantages such as a simple structure, small outer diameter, light weight, convenient installation and use, and unrestricted installation elevation differences. They are widely used in industrial and mining enterprises as well as in urban power grids.
IV. Scope of Application
Scope of application for power cables: They are suitable for installation indoors, outdoors, in ducts, cable trenches, and in loose soil; they can withstand a certain amount of pulling during installation but cannot endure external mechanical forces. Single-core cables must not be installed in ferromagnetic conduits.
V. Product Usage Characteristics
1. The ambient temperature during installation shall not be lower than 0°C; if the temperature falls below 0°C, preheating is required. There are no restrictions on the cable’s vertical drop.
2. The minimum bending radius during installation is specified as follows: unarmored single-core cable: 20D; unarmored three-core cable: 15D; armored single-core cable: 15D; armored three-core cable: 12D; (where D denotes the cable’s actual outer diameter).
3. Cable operating temperature: The PVC jacket shall not exceed 90°C;
4. Overload Temperature: The maximum overload temperature during a cable short circuit is 130°C.
5. The maximum rated temperature of the cable conductor is 90°C, and during a short circuit (with a maximum duration of 5 seconds), the conductor temperature shall not exceed 250°C.
